Music is a form of art and entertainment or other human activity that involves organized and audible sounds and silence. It is expressed in terms of pitch (which includes melody and harmony), rhythm (which includes tempo and meter), and the quality of sound (which includes timbre, articulation, dynamics, and texture). About D.J. Aaron:

Q: When did you first want to become a D.J?

A: Around the time I was about 15 in Junior High, at a Junior High Dance. I liked the way the speakers sounded; the lights moving, colorfully, how smoky the room was, and how the music made me feel. After that I dreamed of being a D.J. and having my own system for mixing music and playing at parties. Now in my 30’s, I consider it a good business and I am expanding my disco with more lights and new music.

Q: How many parties/events have you done?

A: I have done parties for co-workers, friends and some local businesses.

Q: What is your favorite music and why?

A: One of my favorite types of music is Pop because it’s easier to mix music with the beats in the songs. I also love Spanish music and just about all other kinds of music.

Q: How do you learn to mix music?

A: When I was in my teens, I had friends from school who had discos and I spent time with them learning about the beats, how to move the turntables and put songs together. At that time we didn’t have CD’s so we used records.

Q: It must take a lot of patience to get just the right songs to blend well, how do you figure out what works together?

A: The cd mixer has a speed controller that allows me to set up the speed to go at the same beat. It just takes practice to become a professional D.J.

Q: Practice makes perfect! How do you keep up with the newest music?

A: I update constantly, listen to the radio, get new CD’s and songs from the internet. (legally)

Q: How does mixing and being around music make you feel?

A: It is my form of relaxation, takes away stress and gives me an outlet.

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to add?

A: I’m currently working on getting this website up and running, advertising and hoping that the economy gets better so business will improve! Be sure to give us a call, or email for rates and info! We are in the El Paso area of Texas.
